Role Purpose

The Head of Safari Experiences is a strategic leadership role designed to drive revenue and brand presence. You will be responsible for crafting the sales roadmap, managing high-level B2B partnerships, and—crucially—leading the team to revolutionize our B2C direct sales engine. You will ensure that every guest, whether a solo traveler or a school group, receives a premium, world-class experience from the very first point of contact.

The ideal Head of Safari Experiences is a high-energy Growth Architect who thrives at the intersection of rugged adventure and premium hospitality. This individual is a strategic "Sales Catalyst" with a proven ability to transform B2C teams into high-conversion engines, utilizing an analytical mindset to optimize the sales funnel from the first digital touchpoint to the final booking. Rather than traditional luxury, they possess a refined hospitality sensibility that prioritizes seamless logistics, expert storytelling, and anticipatory service within a National Park setting.

As a proactive leader and versatile relationship builder, they are equally adept at negotiating contracts with global DMCs as they are coaching junior staff to elevate professional standards. They embody the brand's core values by balancing revenue growth with a deep commitment to safety and conservation—never hesitating to "get their boots muddy" to ensure operational perfection. Ultimately, they bring a unique bicultural fluency, navigating the local nuances of operating in Vietnam while flawlessly meeting the high-tier expectations of international travelers.

Key Responsibilities

1. B2C & Direct Sales Leadership (Primary Focus)

  • Direct Sales Strategy: Develop and execute aggressive B2C sales plans to increase direct bookings through our website, social media, and walk-in channels.
  • Team Development: Lead and train the sales/reservations team to move from "order taking" to "proactive selling," focusing on high conversion rates and personalized guest service.
  • CRM & Guest Loyalty: Implement and manage a guest database to encourage repeat visits and referrals through targeted email marketing and loyalty initiatives.

2. B2B & Partnership Development

  • Global Reach: Build and maintain relationships with high-end DMCs, boutique travel agencies, and international tour operators.
  • Educational Sector: Directly lead the business development for school trips, pitching conservation-led experiences to International Schools and educational organizations.

3. Strategic Planning & Market Positioning

  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitor research and price benchmarking to ensure Katien Safari Lodge remains the top choice for wildlife in Vietnam.
  • Revenue Management: Set dynamic pricing strategies and seasonal promotions to maximize occupancy and yield.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Managerial Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Managerial role within the tourism, hospitality, or adventure sector.
  • Industry Knowledge: Intensive knowledge of adventure and wildlife tourism. You must understand the specific needs of a wildlife traveler and the logistics of national park operations.
  • B2C Expertise: Proven experience in building direct-to-consumer sales funnels and managing sales teams to hit aggressive revenue targets.
  • Business Development: Able to demonstrate a track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities (B2B and Schools).
  • Language: Professional fluency in English and Vietnamese is essential.
