Konia Jungle Lodge is a riverside lodge within Cat Tien National Park and the dedicated accommodation for two immersive expeditions at Katien Safari. The lodge sits beside open grasslands, one of the park’s richest habitats for birds, storks, and grazing wildlife, and is marked by a towering ancient Kơ Nia tree, an enduring symbol of Southeast Vietnam’s forests.
More than a place to sleep, the lodge is part of the journey itself, where the forest does not fade when the day’s expedition ends. Mornings arrive with birdsong drifting across the grasslands. By late afternoon, shadows lengthen, and movement returns to the open clearings. Sambar deer step out cautiously, muntjac follow the tree line, wild boar cross the edge of the riverbank. Even gaurs may appear in the distance.
Here, wildlife observation does not stop at sunset, it simply becomes quieter, slower, more intimate. As darkness settles in, animals continue to forage nearby, sometimes close enough to remind you that you are not visiting the wilderness, you are staying within it.
Staying here is not separate from the adventure. It is the continuation of it, from the first light over the riverbank to the last distant call in the forest night.
Konia Jungle Lodge offers 7 simple, comfortable rooms designed for small groups joining our safari and trekking programs. All rooms are constructed in traditional wooden style and share bathroom facilities.
The lodge is arranged within a two-storey wooden house set beside the riverbank.
The rooms are arranged within the riverside setting, with views opening toward either the riverbank or the surrounding forest. Interiors remain intentionally understated, with wooden beds, clean linens, and practical furnishings, allowing the landscape outside to remain the true focal point.
Next to the main house is a separate shared bathroom block, equipped with hot showers and full toilet facilities. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, designed to support small group stays comfortably.
Stepping out from the house, a wooden platform overlooks the river. At sunset, this becomes the lodge's natural gathering point. As light softens across the grasslands and reflections deepen on the water, guests often linger here, watching the forest transition from day to night.
While remote in atmosphere, the lodge provides the essentials needed for a comfortable stay during multi-day expeditions.
There are no televisions, no unnecessary luxury fittings, and no distractions from the environment. The design philosophy is simple: reduce excess, heighten awareness.
By keeping comfort practical and unobtrusive, Konia Jungle Lodge allows guests to fully engage with what they came for: the grasslands alive with movement, the river flowing quietly nearby, and the forest that surrounds them at every hour of the day.
For those joining our two Katien Safari expeditions, staying at Konia Jungle Lodge is not just about accommodation, it is about waking up inside the landscape you came to discover.
